How to find your Google Analytics Tracking ID

Find your tracking ID so that all your visitors can be tracked in Google Analytics

There are two ways to find your Google Analytics Tracking ID listed below based on which version of Google Analytics you are using. To find your tracking ID try the first method, and if it does not work then scroll down and try the next.

Note: If you see the error Google Analytics Tracking ID Not Found in the Simple Traffic dashboard. This just means our system could not automatically find your tracking ID and you just need to send it to us for your Google Analytics tracking to work.

Where to find your Google Analytics Tracking ID

Where to find your Google Analytics Tracking ID
  1. Click on Admin in the bottom left-hand corner.

  2. Select the Account and Property of the Google Analytics that is installed on your page.

  3. Click on Property Settings

  4. Your Tracking ID should be displayed.

Your Google Analytics tracking ID should look similar to UA-12345678-1

How to find your Google Analytics Measurement ID (Tracking ID equivalent)

Where to find your Google Analytics Mesaurement ID
  1. Click on Admin in the bottom left-hand corner.

  2. Select the Account and Property of the Google Analytics that is installed on your page.

  3. Click on Data Steams

  4. Click on your website from the list

  5. You will find your Measurement ID, this is the equivalent of a Google Analytics Tracking ID

Your Google Analytics Measurement ID should look similar to G-12345ABC678


How to import your Tracking ID into Simple Traffic

In order to track traffic from Simple Traffic in your Google Analytics reports, you will need to add your tracking ID to your Simple Traffic subscription. Here is how to add your tracking ID to your subscription:

Step 1: Log in to our dashboard.

Step 2: Find the Subscription you would like to update, and click on Details

Step 3: Click on Change URL

Step 4: Paste in your Google Analytics Tracking ID and click Save.
